copiecat is a video adaptation studio: you upload a reference video and your own materials, we analyse the reference structure, and we produce a new video to your brief. This policy explains what data that creates, where it goes, and how you get it back or remove it.

1. What we collect

Account information

Sign-in is provided by Clerk. When you register, Clerk processes your email address, your name, and — if you sign in with Google — basic Google profile details and avatar. Our own database keeps only a mirror: the Clerk user ID, email, name and avatar URL, so that projects can belong to you and your identity can be shown in the interface. We never see or store your password; Clerk holds and verifies it.

Content you upload and generate

• Reference videos, plus portrait, product, background and other images, and music you upload.
• Project data: titles, adaptation briefs, structured analysis, and target shot plans.
• Output: preview clips and finished videos.

Payment information

Full videos are paid through Stripe. We never receive or store your card number. We keep only the order status, amount, currency and transaction reference returned by Stripe, to confirm entitlement and to resolve support requests.

Usage data

We use Amplitude to record in-product events (creating a project, uploading an asset, starting a render, downloading a result) so we can see where the workflow stalls. Events are tied to your account ID. Automatic capture of clicks and form input is switched off.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

4. Training

We do not use your materials or outputs to train any model. Materials are sent to the model providers above only to fulfil the generation you requested. Those providers' own terms govern their use of data, and we cannot make commitments on their behalf.

5. Location and retention

Data is stored on servers in Singapore. Projects, materials and finished videos are kept until you remove them or close your account. Archived projects retain every file and can be restored at any time.

Payment and order records may be retained after account closure where required for legal, accounting or dispute purposes. The free-trial ledger is also retained, so that the quota cannot be reset by closing and re-creating an account.

6. Your rights

• Access and export — open any project in the studio and download your materials and results.
• Correction — change your name and email in the account menu.
• Deletion — close your account or write to us. We remove account data, projects and media, except payment records we are required to keep.
• Opt out of analytics — write to us and we will stop sending your events to Amplitude.

7. Security

All traffic uses HTTPS. Sessions are issued and verified by Clerk; write operations require a bearer token and do not accept an ambient cookie. Every project route checks ownership, and non-owners are told the project does not exist. We store neither passwords nor card numbers.

No system is perfectly secure. Please do not upload material you have no right to use, or content you would not want processed by third-party models.

8. Children

copiecat is for businesses and creators, not for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We update the date at the top of this page when the policy changes, and notify you in-product or by email for significant changes.
